Artist's Rendition of the New El Camino

Rumors have been flying around that eventually the Holden Commodore Ute will make it's way Stateside and if everyone is doing their civic duty by commenting on this Jalopnik post, these rumors - or dreams - could come true.

I feel, however, that although the Aussies did invent the ute, the tastes in car-truck hybrids evolved in slightly different directions and the El Camino became an American icon complete with it's own stereotypes. So what if the new El Camino was of American content instead? If there was a 0.00% chance that the Holden would be barge delivered to our shores, does GM in the US have any chance of making a good replacement? My cousin Corey sends his prediction.
