Beat on the Street - '73 Ford XB Landau

If Mad Max preferred corduroy to leather and felt more like sitting down to talk about problems with fellow road warriors instead of jury rigging explosives to blow them up, he would have likely driven the somewhat classier XB Landau in place of the Falcon Interceptor.

To make comparisons to the American Ford of a slightly earlier time, the Landau would have been the Mercury Cougar to the Ford Mustang. On the same platform, but somehow heavier, cushier, and more badass in a covered headlight kind of way.

Nowadays, Landaus are getting pretty valuable due to their top-of-the-line parts content and relative rarity. This one was spotted in its natural habitat: outside of a country pub in central New South Wales on a Tuesday afternoon.
