The Renault 16 has always held a special place at BB because its represents nearly everything we love about French cars. Where German cars are supremely logical and American cars bloated, a good French car should be quirky. Who else wouldn't mind if the wheel base isn't symmetrical. The interior is versatile accomplishing family hauling tasks better than the plethora of ordinary "cross-over vehicles" available today. Of course the French motoring public couldn't get enough of the brilliant little car while American drivers didn't pay attention.
